Real Madrid set to lose star player/ star player excited about leaving Santiago

Real Madrid are said to be in talks in the transfer of their star midfielder Aser Illaramendi. The 25 year old arrived at Santiago Bernabeu for 32 million pounds from boyhood club Real Soceidad but has since failed to break into the starting eleven for the club. He was purchased as a possible replacement for former galatico, Xabi Alonso after his departure to Bayern Munich. Aser Illaramendi prior to his arrival at Real Madrid was a regular figure at Real Soceidad after breaking through from the club’s youth academy.

South Hampton and Tottenham are believed to be in the race to land the midfielder. Though there has been a lot of a speculation about Liverpool making an offer for the 25 years old signature as they continue to strengthen their following the arrival of Brazilian star Roberto Firmino. South Hampton is looking to strengthen their midfield after oozing Morgan Schnederlin to rivals Manchester united. It is believed that Tottenham are also considering raiding south Hampton of another midfielder in the person of Kenyan Victor Wanyama.

The Spanish international is set to leave the club in the search of first team action as it seems that new manager Rafael Benitez doesn’t have him in his plans. The former Chelsea and Liverpool’s manager’s decision to bring inters Kovavic to the club further raised questions whether Illaramendi was still needed in the team. Again Illaramendi was left out of the club’s first la liga game of the season against newly promoted side sporting Lisbon as the manager preferred to select Kovavic ahead of him. With a host of premier league clubs chasing after the want- away midfielder, it seems as though a return to his boyhood club is the more likely option.
